I know. I can hear some of you. Walking isn't really exercise. OH YES IT IS. The health benefits of walking are many including weight loss and diabetes management. Besides that, its fun! And after the initial expense of some good shoes it is free! No gym membership. No scheduled class times. And accessible at EVERY SINGLE fitness level!! Walking is one form of exercise you can make more challenging without any additional equipment. All you have to do is find a hill or walk faster! YAHOO!
Did you know that you don't have to run a 10k? Most running events have a walkers start! So don't let the fact that you can't run hold you back from setting the goal of a distance event in your future. You can walk it!!! Let's do it!
